Affiliate Programs| Article #104 :3 MAIN REASONS PROGRAMS FAIL

There are 3 main reasons why when a person joins a program, regardless of what the program is, that they fail with the program.
The first reason is that they don't know where or how to advertise. No program is going to promote itself regardless of what anybody tells you. When you get your affiliate link that they tell you to promote, that's exactly what you need to do, promote it. The problem is, there are very few forms of promotion on the Internet that are of any value. The ones that are usually carry a hefty price tag with them. The problem that marketers face is that they don't have the proper funds because they're just starting out. So they use free forms of advertising, most of which aren't worth a hill of beans. As a result, they fail.
The second reason marketers fail is because they don't know how to write a quality ad. We live in an Internet world that is so filled with hype and lies that marketers feel that they have to write ads that are filled with hype. The problem is, most people on the Internet have been so burned by bad programs, or their own poor efforts in promotion, that they are tired of all the hype. So when they see an ad like that, they just ignore it. Marketers need to realize that hype isn't going to sell a program anymore. The dot com bust destroyed any chances of that. Ads need to be honest and realistic. Otherwise you don't stand a chance.
The third main reason why marketers fail is that they have no credibility. Here’s the deal with this scenario. You sign up with your brand new hot program. They tell you how much money you can make if you just get 2 people. You're all excited. So you write your ads, use what advertising you can afford and finally you get somebody to respond. This doesn't happen often since you're using free advertising and probably not writing the greatest ads, but you get somebody to respond. They send you an email and they ask you in the email how much money YOU'VE made with this program. Well, you could lie. Plenty of people do. But ultimately it will catch up with you. The point is, once you tell them you haven't made any money yet they're going to say to you, "then why should I think I'm going to make any money?" You can give them all the excuses in the world. You can tell them it's the greatest program since sliced bread and has the greatest pay plan and greatest support. They're going to ask, "Then why aren't YOU making any money?"
I know there are those who will argue 1, 2 or all 3 of these points. But I have learned this from my own personal experience. If you don't have these 3 things, you are dead in the water.
Now, points 1 and 2 are easy to get. Anybody can learn what advertising methods work and how to become a writer. Some will be better at it than others, but still, 1 and 2 are at least within reach.
The problem is, how do you get number 3? If you haven't made money yet then you have no credibility. So how do you get it?
There are 2 ways.
1. Use somebody else's, Find somebody else in the program who is successful and have that person either write to or phone your contact. Get on a 3 way if you can. Do whatever you can to make that FIRST sale. Once you get that first one, the rest become a lot easier.
2. The second way is to get in through what I can the back door. Find a way to make a substantial amount of money on the Internet by working some kind of job or get-paid-to program. This way you can at least tell people that you HAVE had success on the Internet and they are more likely to believe you when you tell them your program is good.
Hopefully, the above tips will give you a better chance to have success with the program you're promoting.
