Writing Advertisements| Article #192 : ADVANCED AD WRITING – PART 4

In this installment of our series on advanced ad writing techniques, we’re going to dive into the part of our ad where we offer a solution to our prospective buyer. Again, we are going to say the same thing in both these versions but in different ways. One will be nice and personal and the other will be in their face. Both will work if you are consistent with your tone throughout the ad.

The Personal Approach

As bad as things may be going for you right now, I want to tell you that you don’t have to panic. There’s actually hope for your situation and I promise to do everything that I can to give you the help that you need.

The first thing you need to do is discontinue posting these FFA ads. There’s no point to it since they don’t bring any results. It’s just time out of your day that can be spent doing more productive things.

Like what you ask?

Well, personally, I use an advertising system that has worked very well for me. I’ve been using it for the past 4 years and it has never let me down. Not only are my ads seen but they are also read. Plus, I make a number of sales each day. That’s something that never happened when I was posting FFA ads.

Anyway, if you’re interested, there is a site below that I’d like you to take a look at. I think it will really open up your eyes to a method of promotion that I am sure you never knew existed. It works for me, and I am sure it will work for you.

There you have it. It’s direct and to the point, but also very professional and personal. This kind of ad usually works very well for me when I find that my in your face ads start to lose some juice.

The In Your Face Approach

Sorry if what I just told you got the hair on the back of your neck to stand on end, but somebody has to knock some sense into you. Heck, I used to post these same moronic FFA ads myself. Didn’t make me a plugged nickel. But then I stopped spinning my wheels and decided it was time that I got myself an education. I suggest you do the same as well unless you want to end up on that street corner.

How?

As much as I know you’re probably not going to listen to a word I’m saying, I’m going to tell you what you need to do. You need to go to this site that I’m going to give you and learn some advertising methods that actually work. Don’t expect me to beat you over the head with a baseball bat to do this either. I’m not your baby sitter. You’ll either realize that I am trying to help you or you won’t. It’s YOUR call.

And this is actually pretty tame in comparison to some ads I’ve written. But do you get the point? Quite a different tone here. Either way will work but again, make sure you maintain the same voice through the whole ad. If you start out ripping somebody a new one, you can’t close with a “have a nice day.”

In our next installment we’ll get into the close of our ad.
