Sales Copy| Article #201 : SALES PAGE SALES COPY – PART 6
In this installment of our series of sales page sales copy, we’re going to get into the real meat of the sales copy. This is the part where we tell the reader exactly what they’re going to be getting if they purchase our product. Well, kind of.
This is where you have to tread a very fine line between telling your reader enough to have him make an informed decision, or too much to where they’ve discovered your “secret” or decide that this is something that they just don’t want or need.
Let’s look at the site again.
EWEN CHIA’S SECRET AFFILIATE WEAPON
If you take a careful look at Ewen’s sales copy, you will notice that he tells you that if you get this thing of his, you’ll be essentially making more money than you’ll know what to do with. But he never tells you exactly how this is going to happen or what you are going to get to make it happen.
What he does tell you is that you won’t have to create your own product, site or anything else to make this money. As a matter of fact, here’s a list of what he tells you that you WON’T need.
NO products to ship
NO major overhead expenses
NO employees
NO headaches
NO fancy website needed
NO inventory to keep
NO copywriting expense
NO customer service
NO product development cost
NO worries
Now, for those who are new to affiliate marketing, this all sounds wonderful. Of course those who are already doing affiliate marketing know these things already because affiliate marketing is selling other people’s products. So of course you don’t need these things. But Ewen doesn’t take this knowledge for granted. He still points these things out and makes a big deal about them.
After he finishes telling you what you don’t need, he then hits you with the actual product, which included a real nice software box graphic, again, professionally designed. You’ll notice that there are similarities between the software box graphics and the header graphics. The reason for this is because you want to keep the look of the site consistent throughout so that everything fits together like a hand and a glove.
Then, after telling you what you’re going to get and how it’s going to change your life, he hits you with yet more testimonials. If this doesn’t clinch it for the reader then nothing will. Notice that these testimonials are from rookies. These are the people who may be just like you, just starting out. This is done to give the new person hope. Once you give this kind of hope, you practically have the sale made.
And then finally, he tells you what this is all going to cost you.
That will be the subject of our next article.
