Sales Copy| Article #202 : SALES PAGE SALES COPY – PART 7

In this installment of our series on sales page sales copy, we’re going to go over the price, or what I like to call, over deliver and under price.

Ewen does a masterful job with this page. He tells you all the great thing that this product is going to do for you. He shows you income proof and testimonials. And then, after he is done literally blowing your mind apart, he hits you with the price.

Let’s take a look at the site one last time.

Now, let’s move on down past the last testimonial and take a look at how he presents the price. He doesn’t just say what the price is. He tells you how much all this stuff is worth and then goes on to say that you can get it for…well, this is how he does it.

You read correctly. He’s selling this thing for $9.97. Now, if you’re thinking that he’s lost his mind, better keep reading.

See, Ewen is no dummy. He knows that at this price point, you’d have to be a total cheapskate and a virtual idiot to pass this up. I mean for crying out loud, $9.97? You can’t even buy lunch for that anymore. So naturally, given what Ewen himself has done and the fact that I have already had some success, I figured that it was worth the $9.97 for me to at least figure out what he was giving away, literally, and if nothing more, write a review on it, which is one of my businesses. I figured I had nothing to lose. If it’s a good product, I can write a positive review and maybe make a few bucks. If the product is just more hype and garbage, then I can expose it for the scam that it is.
Well, I’m not going to get into that here, but I am going to explain why the $9.97 price tag.

Aside from the fact that only a cheapskate would pass this up, Ewen had something else in mind. It’s called the upsell.

After you make your purchase, you’re directed to what they call a One Time Offer or OTO. This is where he says, okay, you can get all this for an additional cost of just…and this is where he hits you with the big money. In this case, it was $77. Now, that’s still not a fortune, but it’s a nice chunk of change. And if you’re an affiliate of this product, you’re going to make a pretty penny on each sale. As for the value of what you’re getting for your $77, it’s off the charts. Ewen again, over-delivers.  It will take me weeks to go through all the extras that I now have, not the least of which is my own software creator.

When you provide value like this, it’s easy to understand why Ewen is so successful.

But that’s not the point. The sales page is perfectly crafted. After he tells you the price, he tells you all the “regular” extras that you get for $9.95. Finally, he presents you with the order form that screams to let you in right away. It’s literally thrown in the reader’s face and it’s hard to resist.

Take some time to look over this sales page. There are so many subtle nuances that it would be impossible to go over them all. And like I said, every page is different, but they all pretty much follow this formula.

Do the same, and you should see a few sales come your way.
