Google Slap| Article #222 : GOOGLE SLAP – PART 6

In this installment of our series on the Google slap, we’re going to discuss what you’ll need to do in the event that you’ve already put up a landing page and have already been slapped by Google. In this case, the solution is a little extreme, but it does work.

The truth is, once Google has hit you with their slap, it is very difficult to get them to lower your CPC costs. You can beg all you want, but once you web page is in the dumper, you’re pretty much close to toast. Notice I said, close to toast. There is a solution to this problem but it is very extreme. The good thing is, it works.

There are some techniques you can use to get your page back up and running, but the problem is, these techniques take forever to put in practice and even if you do them, there is no guarantee that they will work. Unfortunately, there is only one sure fire way to get rid of the Google slap once they’ve hit you with it.

Get yourself a new Adwords account.

If you think I am kidding, I am not. See, once your site gets hammered by Google, it’s not just the site that gets hit but your account as well. In other words, even if you added a brand new website complete with SEO and backlinks and content coming out the ying-yang, it still won’t matter. Once your account is hit, you’re done. So if you’ve been slapped by Google, the first thing you have to do is get a new account.

But that’s not where it ends. Remember, they still slapped your site. Well, one of the things that is attached to that site is the domain that it was on. If you’re ready to ask me if you now have to get a new domain name, you’re catching on very fast. Yes, you have to go out and get yourself a new domain name as well.

Right now you’re probably thinking that this is totally insane. I won’t argue with you one little bit. It is insane. The problem is, Google makes the rules and we have to play by the rules. So if you’re going to get out of the doghouse with Google, you’ll have to do the following in this order:

Get a new domain to put your web site on. Try to get it as close to the original domain as possible, because most likely that domain name you picked was perfect. Well, this one may have to be a little less than perfect. But get a new one anyway.

Fix your site. That means going through the SEO, putting up the content and getting as many backlinks as possible. This may take a bit of time, but if you want to insure that you get low bids, you’re going to have to bite the bullet and do this.

Finally, open up a new Google Adwords account. Copy all your ads and keywords from the old account to the new account. Once this is completed, you’re done.

The reason that the people running successful Adwords campaigns today ARE successful is because they take the time to do all this. That’s why those who are left standing are having the money literally rolling in with Adwords. Why? There isn’t as much competition as before.

In our final article in this series, we’re going to discuss how to tell if you’ve really been Google slapped or if what’s going on with your account is normal.

See you next time.
