It’s absolutely the most frustrating thing in the world. You’re at your favorite Internet marketing forum and you suddenly get hit with a serious problem that you need help with. So you post your plea for help. You eagerly wait for a response that will rid you of your latest headache. Instead, what you find is that your post is not so slowly moving down the first page of the forum threads and eventually out of sight and forgotten. Not one answer to your problem was recorded. What happened?

This is a problem that is very common with the most active forums. Topics can literally disappear within an hour or less. One forum in particular, posts from the previous day are already buried on page 5. How do you deal with this kind of a situation when you really need help?

The first thing you have to understand is that the majority of people at these forums have their own problems and their own questions that they need answered. That’s why you’re seeing so many new posts before people even respond to the older posts. The few people at these forums who are actually there to help others are limited. Therefore, you have to do what you can in order to capture these people’s attention as fast as possible.

What you ask? Here are a few things.

The first thing you can do is put up an outrageous subject that is sure to get people to read. It doesn’t even have to be related to your question. Just put up a subject that is sure to invoke an emotional response and you’ll be surprised at how many views that topic gets. Hopefully, among those views, you’ll get some answers to your questions.

The second thing you can do is offer some incentive for answering the question. Maybe offer people a free download. One forum actually has an option to send other members money to their PayPal account. Bribery works great. Use it if you have to.

Finally, if all else fails and you find your post falling off the page into oblivion, bump it back up. Explain in your bump that you’re desperate and you really need help. If you haven’t already offered a bribe, do it now. If the answer to this problem is that important to you then do whatever you can in order to get the answer that you need, within the forum rules of course.

Work at home and marketing forums can be very exciting places with some great interaction. They can also be very frustrating when you’re just trying to get a simple answer to a simple question. Hopefully, the above tips will get you the response that you’re looking for.

If not, find another forum. After all, there are plenty of fish in the sea.
