Making A Plan | Article #252 :ADVANCED GAME PLAN 1 – PART 1
In this series of articles to follow, we’ll be going over some startup suggestions for new marketers. Some of this may be known to you. Some of it may be brand new. Hopefully, you’ll learn something from each of these articles to come.
The first thing you need to do is take your overall game plan and break it down into days. In other words, each day you do something else to move you towards your ultimate goal. By breaking things down like this, it makes the whole project a lot easier to tackle.
For this particular game plan, we’re going to start out with identifying your overall goal. What is it that you want to achieve with this project? Do you want to build software, create an ebook, affiliate market, or something else?
Once you have a clearly defined goal written out, (yes written) you can then begin to work on the project itself. For example, if you decide that you want to create software, you need to make sure that you have or purchase all the tools necessary to create that software. Perhaps that will involve purchasing the latest version of Visual Basic. You may need to research other platforms as well to see which one will best fit your needs. The last thing you want is to buy the wrong software creation tool that won’t do what you need it to do.
Before you actually go about creating this software, you need to do a little research to see if there is even a need for it. The best way to do that is to find out if a similar piece of software already exists. If it does, look at the features list. You may have to actually buy the software to do this, unless it is listed on the web site. Believe me, it will be worth doing. This way you can see exactly what the software contains and what you can add to yours to make it better.
One way to find out if there is a need for this software is to visit the Internet marketing forums where people would be most likely to use something like this. Ask them what they think. Ask them what features they’re looking for. If it’s something that’s really in demand, they’ll give you plenty of feedback. Use this feedback to add to your features list.
After you’ve completed your research and gotten all the feedback, it’s now time to decide what features you’re going to include in your software and what features you’re going to leave out. You need to figure out how much time it’s going to take you to put this software together. The reason this is important is because you are going to want to coordinate the completion of the software itself with your advertising campaign.
In our next article, we’re going to pick up with what we do once we have the software completed. There are things that will be required even before we do our advertising. By having everything in place, we’ll save ourselves a lot of heartache down the road.
See you next time.
