Making A Plan | Article #254 :ADVANCED GAME PLAN 1 – PART 3

In our last installment, we submitted our software to forums for testing and started working on our sales copy. In this installment we’re going to pick up with what we do once our software is out of beta.

Okay, it’s been two weeks and you’ve gotten the feedback from the forums. They love the software just the way it is. You’ve included everything that one could possibly want in it. Great! Now it’s time to complete the creation process. Part of this involves making the software so that people can only use the registered version.

Now it’s time to register the software with an affiliate program like Clickbank, PayDotCom or whatever your choice is. Why? Well, unless your marketing efforts are extraordinary, you’re going to want to have as many affiliates promoting your software as possible. I mean, as great as Keyword Elite is, the creator of that software has a lot of affiliates helping him promote it. You’re going to want to do the same.

Another thing you will want to do is contact everybody you know who is into affiliate marketing. Tell them that your product is registered at Clickbank, or wherever, and tell them that it pays 50%, or whatever you choose, as a commission percentage. My suggestion, to make it very attractive to sell, is to offer a minimum of 60%. This will make it one of the more attractive products to sell as most products in the marketplace are usually in the 50% range.

In the meantime, while all this is going on, you’ve completed your sales page copy. You’ve gotten quite a number of testimonials and you’ve added them to the copy itself. You’re going to want to email out the link to your sales page to all your friends. The affiliate program that you choose to use will do the rest.

One thing you need to know about Clickbank. They don’t list your program in their marketplace unless you’ve made at least 1 sale. To take care of that, simply make a purchase yourself. They’ll allow you to do this and it will count as your 1 sale. This will get you into the marketplace right away.

The final thing you need to concentrate on is your own promotion and setting up your autoresponder series for opt-ins. These are people who you will collect who will want more information on your product. Not everybody will purchase right away. So make sure you have an opt-in form on your sales page so people can get info first if they choose.

The above outline, and the articles that have come before it,  is just that, an outline. There are certainly other things you can add to this, such as specific promotional strategies like using safelists, FFA Hosting sites, article writing and so on.

It is hoped that this outline will give you a starting point and a provide a springboard for your own ideas.  This advanced game plan can really be applied to any kind of product and not just software. The only difference will be that with an ebook instead of testing software your forum members will simply be reading.

The process works for both products quite nicely.
