Butterfly Marketing | Article #261 :BUTTERFLY MARKETING – PART 3

In this installment of Butterfly Marketing, we’re going to go over some of the main points of the pre-launch phase, which is basically where you start your “buzz” and get the word out about the upcoming launch of your product.

The first thing you have to understand about Butterfly Marketing is that if the idea for a product or service that you come up with has no value for anyone, it will not create the buzz that you’re looking for. So no amount of marketing, butterfly or otherwise, is going to make up for a product with no buzz potential. So that’s the first thing you have to do. You MUST do your research and find out if people will even want this thing. Looking at what’s currently on the marketplace will give you a good start here.

Once you’re certain that the product you want to launch has buzz potential, the next thing you want to do is start the buzz. You tell all the people you know that this thing is coming. You want to tell them that the time frame is going to be 30 to 60 days from when you first start getting the word out. Why so long? Because you need that amount of time to actually get the word out. It’s not going to happen overnight. The truth is, the best part of any Butterfly Marketing plan is the pre-launch because that’s where you actually get most of your people. After the initial buzz is over, the momentum from those early days is what usually keeps the product earning money daily from that time on, virtually on auto-pilot. The pre-launch is the key.

After you start to get the word out, create a blog where people can get a taste of what’s coming. Make sure you have an opt-in box on the blog so people can sign up to get a sneak peak or more info. This is where the curiosity is going to start to build.  As word gets around, more and more people will be coming to your blog to see what the deal is. You’ll begin to see the opt-ins increase exponentially on a daily basis.

This is where you want to start getting a little creative. Go to forums. Post on message boards. Do whatever you can to spread the word around and get people to your blog. The key here is you want to get people to opt-in in order to get first shot at your product.

One way to do this is to offer them an “early in discount” where he first X number of signups get 25% off, or something like that.  You want to make these people feel special for getting in early on this.

One thing you want to do is actually mention that this is in pre-launch. This way, you’ll really peak their interest. Something about things that are in pre-launch really gets people all juiced up. It certainly worked with My Secret Articles which I had in pre-launch for months before they actually came out.

In our next installment, we’ll continue with some more pre-launch things that you should do.
