Social Bookmarking | Article #307 :US FREE ADS

In this installment I’d like to discuss US Free Ads. While this isn’t a social book marking site (actually it’s a classified site like Craigslist) it has really caught on in the Internet marketing world, so it does deserve a bit of attention.

Most people use US Free Ads to sell products of all kinds and to promote a variety of affiliate products. The site has really grown in popularity and a lot of people use it. However, if you really want to get the most out of it, don’t use it for the purpose of selling product or promoting affiliate links. Use the site to bring traffic to your own site. Not many people do this so you will stand out from the crowd.

One of the reasons that you will get traffic from this site is because it is indexed by Google and they pick up a lot of the advertisements. This is basically two shots of promotion for the price of one. And considering that US Free Ads is free, that’s not a bad deal.

The way to handle US Free Ads is to post an ad that says something like “Come to our web site and get your free report on…” and so on. This way, you’ll get people to come to your web site, opt-in for the free report and possibly become buyers at a later date. Marketers who use US Free Ads in this way usually get the best results.

You’re not going to drive a lot of traffic to your site this way, but what you will do is drive very highly targeted traffic to the site. Why? Well, think about it. The people who are going to US Free Ads are looking for very specific things, as most people who go to classified sites do. So somebody who sees your site and goes there is very interested in what you are promoting.  So while you may not get a lot of traffic, what traffic you do get is more likely to become buyers, which means that your conversion percentage should be quite high.

The one thing you shouldn’t do is spend a lot of time posting at US Free Ads. Maybe spend about 15 minutes a day there, tops. This is still a classified site, in a sense, and you’re not going to get your best traffic from them. I felt it needed to be covered because for whatever reason, this site is one of the crazes of today. Go figure it.

If you do want to get the most out of this site, use the premium service. It only costs a few dollars a month and your ads will automatically renew. Plus you can do HTML ads instead of just the plain old boring text ads that you’re used to seeing. Plus, your ads get top priority above the free ones.

Will you make a lot more sales with the premium service? Probably not. But for a few bucks, it’s worth giving it a shot. Certainly it can’t hurt. Like I said, US Free Ads is very popular and your ads will be seen, unlike a lot of classified sites that nobody goes to.

There are a lot of ways to advertise on the Internet. Some are better than others. However, knowing how to utilize each site and each method, no matter how good or bad, may mean the difference between making a sale and not making a sale.

And let’s face it, a sale here, a sale there, and it all adds up.
