Reviewing| Article #331 : REVIEWING PRODUCTS – PART 2

In this installment of reviewing products, we’re going to do a fictional review so you can get an idea of how you should review products to get the most benefit out of your reviews, which is ultimately to make sales. I’m actually going to review my own Honest Income Program, since nobody should know it better than me. Notice how I can say negative things about my own product.

I am reviewing the latest make money at home product called the “Honest Income Program.” It took me a long time to be able to write this review because, quite honestly (no pun intended) there is a lot to this program, as I found out after I downloaded it.

For starters, it’s 7 books. Yeah, 7. So if you’re not into a lot of reading, this may not be for you. It’s almost like going to college.

The books are nicely divided up. You have one, which is the main book outlining a 3 step system to make money, an advanced book that shows you how to build your own business from scratch, a book on how to write ads, another one on how to write articles, a book on every form of advertising on the Internet, another book that discussed affiliate marketing in great detail and finally a very short book that I didn’t quite get at first, but after reading it, made a lot of sense. It’s a viral book you give away with your own links.

Okay, let’s get to the actual nitty gritty, because lots of content doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good. However, in this case, the content is excellent. If you’re a seasoned marketer, you won’t find anything really new in here. But that’s not who the book is targeting. This book clearly states it’s for beginners who are struggling to make money online. Well, it gives a great 3 step system to do just that before sending them out on their own to build their own business. The whole concept is very well put together.

Okay, here’s what I don’t like about it. Yes, there are problems. For one thing, there is a ton of work involved in doing the 3 step system. So if you don’t have a lot of time on your hand, don’t bother. You won’t get much out of it if you can’t put in at least 3 or 4 hours a day.

Another problem is that because of the amount of information these 7 books gives you, it is easy to become overwhelmed. I seriously doubt there are many people who will have the patience to go through all 7 books, at least not in their entirety. As reference books, 5 of the remaining 6 books are great. The 10 page book is probably okay once you learn viral marketing, which he teaches you.

You can’t knock the package, not really. It over-delivers for the price, which is just $29.95. There are single books out there with not nearly as much info going for double what this package sells for. Honestly, I think the guy is nuts. He says on his sales page that the price is low to appeal to the people who can’t afford much. I don’t know. I personally think he doesn’t have confidence in his product and that’s why he sells it so cheap, though I could be wrong.

On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 10 for content but only a 7.5 for usability only because there’s just too much there.

And there you have it. After that, just sign off with your name or, if you’re smart, tell the reader that if you buy the book from you, you’ll throw in a bonus. Of course make sure you’re using your affiliate link instead of the main site.
