New Support Desk

Posted in customer support at 7:36 pm by Miles

Yay. :-)

It took over an hour but I have now got the Kayako SupportSuite working on my server. If you have some problem with any of my products, rather than emailing me, you can get support at:

http://www.codingelite.com/support

This is a much easier way for me to do things as I can keep a lot more organised, rather than having to ask my customers to email me. Before I actually just used the same email adress for JV’s, paypal, payment notifications, personal stuff, on top of customer support.

… So basically I would wake up, check my email, and have a ton of customer support problems interspersed with my payment notification emails and occasional JV related offers, which was really bad. It was a nightmare when it came to organization.

Anyway -

By using support desk software I can actually organize my customer support problems, as well as make it a lot easier for my customers who have problems with my software. It’s a better system for both me AND my customers.

Explosion Of Traffic

Posted in pop up software at 11:50 pm by Miles

I just went into cpanel, and for some reason I have had over 1700 uniques come to this site in the last few hours. The ONLY thing I have done is email my list about giving away Impact PopUp.

Now I know I have a great list and all but this is really wierd, because I have no idea where this source of traffic is coming from. It’s not like I have affiliates or anything because this is just my basic company website where I don’t sell anything.

Is anyone emailing their list about something I have on my site…? If so — let me know who you are. :-)

Anyway…

… If you haven’t already downloaded my latest giveaway software, you can do so here:

http://www.codingelite.com/resources/impactpopup.htm

It’s been fun playing around with it so far, and in fact, I think these kind of “focus” popups are way more effective than any other standard pop-ups most people ever see. The reason is because it’s like post-it notes you see in real life, it seems unintrusive and definitely commands attention.

I might take this off the site sometime in the next 12-24 hours, so if you want to pick it up free, do it now while you can.

Uni Exams Tommorow

Posted in Uncategorized at 12:05 pm by Miles

This is just a quick note to anyone who has sent me an email, I’m going to be offline for about the next 24 hours. I’m getting about 100 emails/day related to PDF Page Pro but right now I need to focus on my Accounting exam which is tommorow.

What happened was I was getting 80%+ throughout the year, and because I was so busy with IM, I was just like, this is so easy I’m not going to do any study for the final exam. I ended up doing hardly any work in the second half of the semester but what I didn’t realize was that the exam was almost all on the second half of the semester so the results were disastrous.

I thought the final exam was on the whole semester but it’s actually on the second half which I did practically nothing for. I think IM has really had a negative effect on some of my uni studies, not that it matters much now. ;-)

I still passed the unit but you need to pass the final exam itself to get through so I just have to do it again — which means I have one day to catch up on about 10 weeks worth of work. Fun, fun.

How To Recruit Motivated Affiliates With No Work

Posted in Uncategorized at 10:54 am by Miles

I have already sold over 100 copies of my new $47 product in less than 72 hours. Aside from the high conversion, the primary reason why so many sales have been generated is because of my affiliates (in fact, I’ve only generated 4 sales for my $47 product myself). This doesn’t even include the 82+ sales for the product at $17 within 36 hours in the WSO forum before.

I didn’t go contacting people trying to get a JV, I didn’t go posting my affiliate program in affiliate directories, and in fact, the only people I’ve told about it is a small list of mine.

… So how come I’m getting so many affiliates?

Here’s why, pay attention to this:

It’s because I actively recruit affiliates from buyers.

How? Simple. I have a file called “ReadFirst.pdf” in my zip file for my product PDF Page Pro. When people buy the product, they read that manual first. And, guess what, all it is is a two page manual that tells you how juicy my affiliate program is (which it is) and invites them to promote the product. I use my software to create an entry and exit message about the affiliate program.

I have also changed my user manual to have an entry/exit pop-up that takes you to the affiliate area for my product, as well as an entry/exit message inviting you to join. (You can still disable it if you want.)

So what happens is, people buy, those buyers become affiliates, those affiliates drive more traffic to my site, more people buy, more people get recruited as affiliates, I get more sales etc. and the process grows virally with the number of sales I get.

This works especially well here because I’m generous to affiliates (I offer 75% commission) plus I provide cut and paste content more than most people. I’m working right now on providing blog posts & articles, as well as of course a set of banners (I’m going to get my graphics person on it today).

I really can’t stress how important your affiliates are, I mean, it’s even more important than your list. That’s why you really need to do everything you can to get good affiliates and above all, help them perform.

So, next time you launch a product — offer 75% commission, charge as much as you can, put a lot of effort into your sales letter and invest a bit into content for affiliates. Include in the zip file a document with details on your affiliate program and watch the sales roll in.

How To Increase Your Opt-in Rate By 733%

Posted in List Building at 6:31 pm by Miles

There was a post on the warrior forum a few days ago that shared this tip on how to increase your response rate by about 7 times, or more specifically, 733% on the page it was tried on.

While I doubt that was actually the case, it is true that this one thing does get more people joining your list. In fact, I’m already doing it, with pretty good results…

… Here’s what I’m talking about, pay attention to this…

Have the submit button text as “Instant Free Access…”

(That’s it.)

I don’t know if you know about it, but one of the most effective squeeze pages of all time is www.doubleyourdating.com. It’s nothing more than a white page with some well worded bullets — but notice how the submit button text is “instant free access!”?

That site makes over 6 figures and although I’m sure it’s in a MUCH easier niche than IM — because the target market is pretty easy to sell to — it definitely is a good indicator that this works.

To be honest I’m not sure why this works so well, but, there are just some things in copywriting proven to convert better even though we can’t explain it. Kind of like using “only” instead of “just”, 21pt Tahoma headings etc.

If your submit button text is something like “submit” or “click here to subscribe!” (the default for EmailAces) then I definitely recommend you try out “instant free access” instead.

Affiliate Program For PDF Page Pro

Posted in PDF Page Pro at 4:11 pm by Miles

If you want to be an affiliate for PDF Page Pro, I have just finished putting some content together for affiliates at…

http://www.pdfpagepro.com/affiliates.html

Right now, the page is converting at 4-5% for most with the price of $47 and 75% commission. That effectively gives you $1.41-1.76 every time someone clicks on your affiliate link!

Already I am getting a lot of people promoting even before I have put together any content for them to use. I doubt it has much to do with compelling copy but more just because the offer is so good.

I know that sounds kind of prideful, but actually, this software works extremely well. I have already made backend sales for my other product without even intending to.

Of course if you want to pick up the software before I raise the price, you can go to:

http://www.pdfpagepro.com

By the way, this is the last product I’m going to host at clickbank as I have just picked up JVManager1 for only $97 (I had no idea it was that cheap even with it being offered by so many people with MRR). I was going to get this a while ago but the price of $2-3k was a little over what I wanted to spend for an affiliate management script.

I’m installing JVManager on my site right now although I’m going to have to leave this product on clickbank for a while because I won’t be able to switch all my affiliates who are promoting now that easily.

It’s definitely been fun so far making this product despite wasting over a month on it just trying to develop it.

The Benefits Of Going Physical…

Posted in physical products at 10:30 pm by Miles

How much would you pay just to convert PDF documents into other file types? For some people the answer might surprise you…

… I was browsing the Harris Technology catalogue on my desk right now (don’t ask why) and came across this Office PDF Software being offered for $159.

This is what I found wierd, all the software does is take your PDF file from your harddrive, and convert it to .doc or spreadsheet — and give you the new file. That’s it. I mean, I know there are people who need stuff like this but the internet is so flooded with simple software like this you can find software like this really easily.

I can go to google right now and find a ton of free software or even web based apps that can do this for you really easily, or if I wanted to, just go to my programmer and get something like this developed for under $100.

My impression: If you create something that a lot of people need, and you’re the only physical product in the market — it doesn’t matter how many digital products, web services, stuff given away free there is — you can brand yourself as the industry standard, charge 2-5 times more than digital product suppliers…

And (here’s the best part) still make friends with people selling a lower quality digital version. You’re at a completely different price point, and buyers are often going to go to more than one product, which means you’re not going to harm the sales of digital products in that market.

Bottom line? If you want to make a highly in demand product, but where there are already tons of digital products in the market — create a physical product.

Over 1,000 Downloads!

Posted in Uncategorized at 12:57 pm by Miles

According to my cPanel stats - my software app Image Water Marker has been downloaded over one thousand times already just in the first three days of release.

I think this is a pretty good response considering the only thing I did for it was email my list about it, and post a Warrior Special Offer (WSO) with a free download link. It turns out a lot of people find this thing useful, especially, people who have to deal with graphics often. The feedback is very positive.

Plus: I haven’t even put this little piece of software on softpedia.com, download.com or in fact any major software directory yet. Once I get around to doing that, I’ll be able to get a whole lot more downloads as more people start distributing the software - and start using it.

Considering how little I have done for it I think this is just the beginning ;-)

And… since the software comes with MRR, that means you can give it to whoever you want. Since this is actually useful it’s definitely something worth passing around.

If you haven’t already downloaded it yet, you can do so here (just right click –> save as)

Create Professional Forms Quickly & Easily

Posted in forms at 3:11 pm by Miles

If you have ever got involved in selling software, you’ll know that no matter what you make - there is almost ALWAYS going to be someone who has already done it.

Like, for example, software that allows you to create custom forms. I was looking for a little app that could let you basically make your own forms with all the elements you want, with your own custom designs built in with the software, with captcha image protection… and then email you the results when someone fills out the form.

Sound useful? I think so.

At first I couldn’t find a kind of WYSIWYG editor that does this, so, I went over to see if I could get it developed…

…Cost of development? Only about $500. That is still fairly easy to make a return on also. (Even if I just gave it away with MRR like everything else. ;-))

Luckily before I just took that project, however, I found a resource which pretty much did everything I wanted my software to do - but, instead of being client based, it’s actually web based. I’m glad I found this before I went ahead with getting this developed myself!

Check it out…

http://www.jotform.com

The service is free at first and only $9/month afterwards. If you ever wanted to make your own custom forms without having to design them yourself, then this is a pretty good thing to use for it.

Image Branding Software With MRR

Posted in image brander at 8:34 pm by Miles

This is a pretty cool application that I just wanted to make which lets you brand your images really easily - without having to manually edit anything!…

You can download it here (Just right click –> save as)

And you can check out the screen shots of what the software does here. Here’s just a sample…

test3.JPG

See how you can add text over your image? :-)

(Of course, normally you don’t have your watermark that visible. This is just an example.)

If you don’t like having to deal with graphics like me, you can use this software to add a watermark text over an image, so that you can put your website URL or slogan across the image.

Plus: you can also edit the transparency of the text, to make it more or less visible, as well as choose the format, font type and size of the watermark text.

As usual, this comes with Master Resale Rights (MRR) as freeware, which means you can give this software to whoever you want. There is other image editing software like this if you go to softpedia.com, but, most of them you have to pay. What I found was way more complicated than what I needed anyway. So…

… You can give this software to your list, add it as a bonus, use it as an opt-in incentive, put it on your membership site, do whatever you want with it. There are actually a lot of people who find this useful.
